Happenings from the past week...(and sad news...)

Well, this past week has been TOUGH! Ryan headed to Kermit on Monday to meet with some bankers and people around town. His 6:55 AM plane was cancelled, and the next flight was already booked. They ended up sending him to Houston to go to Midland, so he could get there by 10:30! That was just the beginning of the morning!
Since he was a couple hours behind, he didn't get to meet with the Odessa banker that morning. He made it to Kermit and ate lunch with the retiring doctor, who also took him around town to meet all sorts of people! Ryan has met the principal, athletic director, football coach, massage therapist, horse ranchers, and the list can go on and on.... He also met with a banker from Odessa who came to meet him at the practice. Things looked positive, but we've found out later in the week that they couldn't do it either! UGH!
After Ry finished running around in the "big city," he headed to Hobbs to see his mom and grandad. His grandad had been in the hospital for over a week and he wasn't doing well. Ryan stayed with his mom at the hospital until late that night. The next day he visited with my parents at lunch, but stayed by his grandad's side most of the day. His hour flight home ended up being delayed an hour, so he finally got back to Dallas about 10 that night. His grandad passed away on Thursday afternoon. I'm so thankful he got to spend those few days with him! But, this has been a rough and long week!!
Ryan's still working with a few banks, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. We'll hear about the buyers of our house on Thursday of next week, as to if they for sure get our house or not. Please keep us in your prayers! The stress of everything from the business and the happenings of the week are riding heavy on both of us. I only have 4 more days of school, then we'll both be able to focus on the next chapter in our lives! Hopefully, that will be packing and getting ready to move!!! :)
