As many of you may already know, this past week has been stressful and overwhelming. Ryan got his wisdom teeth out last Friday (12/18). We were planning on going home Sunday, but God knew better. Ryan was feeling well Saturday but still on his pain meds, so Masey drove home and Ryan tried to rest!! On Sunday, Masey wasn't feeling very well, but her doctor calmed her nerves. But, late Sunday evening/early Monday morning, we miscarried our 2nd pregnancy. This was a very rough day for us, but luckily we were home with our families this time. Everyone was so supportive and really helped us through this extremely tough time. Everyone tried to keep us busy to keep our minds off of things, which I think was the best thing that could happen. We survived the rest of the week, but it wasn't easy. We are very thankful for our loving family and friends...those who wrote words of encouragement, prayers, or just a listening ear. As hard as this week has been, we are truly blessed with an amazing support system! Thank you to everyone who has been thinking of us. We have survived the week, now just to take it a day at a time. Here are a few verses that friends sent to us this past week that we thought we should add...
Isaiah 40:18-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
